Our 'new' Daihatsu 4x4


We decided that the scenic was not very suitable for the mountain roads, so we bought a Daihatsu 4x4 from UK. He had quite an adventure getting it home, but drove down in 3 days, with no problems from the car, but the driver was a little tired and made a few directional errors !!

2008-03-04 grafting

I have tried my hand at some grafting

we want to graft the black cherry tree, onto some 'wild' cherry trees so that when the cherry tree by the door has to be removed, we will still have some black cherries. this particular method is favoured by the chestnut growers around here, but there are as many different methods as there are farmers !!!Please cross your fingers !
This is an Ash tree we have in the 'new' garden, i have never seen the buds before, they look like small bunches of grapes.......
This is the bunch of violets I picked myself for Mothers Day (UK) and Grandmothers Day (here).
