Malcolm came to visit for a few days, during the Fete du chataigne . Some St Michaels (coulemelle) and some Rose des pres .....field mushrooms!

unfortunatly i put this one in the bin, after realising it was a St michael !!

For those of you who know the little barn next door to us.....this is the progress so far to turn it into Aniks house.....she hopes it will be ready for Christmas !!

This is it on the rim of a wine glass.

Think this is honey fungus.....not sure...

a rather large as yet unidentified critter....

its the wheel of the hosepipe trolly it's on, not a car tyre !!!!

something called a "cat faced " spider, well spoted Sarah and how brave is that Mike, to hold your hand that near.....BEFORE we found out it was harmless !!

Yes, it mushroom season as well, mostly field mushrooms this year, a few st Michaels and very few ceps.

Making friends with the natives....
Repairing even more floor boards, this time the ones which were UNDER the wall we took away!

View from up high above Cailho.........if you have very good eyes you can see the blue van outside our house.

2/3 down on left hand side for the rest of us !

The road is the one between Cailho and St Etienne.

We went with Mike and Sarah to the plateau above us to enjoy the wonderful view down the valley.................we were nearly blown away!! Sarah and I trying not to fall off the edge..
