One bonus of the dry air, is that we are able to see the Pyrenees in the far distance.
This is lake Vesoles, which would normally be over Daves head at this point !

The big lumps of ice across the road are from our reservoirs…stayed like that for about a week, it was SO cold….and DRY !
Some people were not quite so lucky…….this patch of ice was impassable for about a week, forcing people to take the safe route OVER the mountain passed the lake
Whilst we were bathing in 16C in Lanzarote, the temperatures in Cailho plummeted to –10 C Here are some pictures of the frozen river etc.

This was a day Dave I had out in the National Park of Timanfaya, there are pictures of the camels which can take you into the park for 20mins (but not this day for us as it was TOOOO cold!)
There is a picture of the BBQ over a volcanic vent, and blow holes which water is poured down to create a huge geyser …
The other pictures are of the huge, incredible landscape of the park, which you must go around in a coach, you are not allowed to drive around or walk in the park (so therefore some pictures have reflections from the coach windows)
