Who lives in a house like this……??
We took a drive behind the mountain……it was sunny and no sign of snow……then we crossed the 1000m high mark and we found this stuff !
Road was a bit icy, and as our tyres were a bit on the ….errrr low side…..we had to go a little bit SLOWLY !
Look at that view, and so clear today !
Yes that is snow in the foreground.
The most unfortunate thing was that for the FIRST time we saw a Mouflon …..

but too slow to take a photo……. :O(
Some animals know where the warmest place is……..and are happy to keep everyone else away :O) (yes that is a table tennis “football”, she had just had a hard game of chase!!)
Coming from South America it is advertised as being good for diabetes, so I had to try it. It is supposed to grow 2 m high, so we were not expecting much from ours which was barely 80cm high !
BUT….we had 5 good edible tubers and numerous “red” buds to plant next year.

Might grow it again next year, depends if we can get rid of the unfortunate side effects :O(
Dave has constructed a winter shelter under the new terrace, as the lemon tree is too big now to move down to the cave……I also have a tender hibiscus and all the pelargonium's of course……..
I lined it with bubble wrap and Dave has made the outside with builders strength plastic….light and wind proof….we hope !
all wrapped up and hopefully warm for the winter………..
The 10th of November thru to 17th November.
Above the terrace gets a new gutter, just in time as rain is forecast !
Rain arrives, but Dave is determined to finish this part !
These below were taken this morning (17th) and its still raining…….
These in front of the bedroom door are a temporary measure, this part will be enclosed eventually….probably next spring/summer now !
Our first guests test out the terrace…….. not too near the edge as there is no balustrade yet !
Olargues chestnut fete………lots of dancing in the street…weather stayed nice for a change !
We went for a short walk on Sunday, and found a stunningly good cep !
Monday came too soon….but, we spent a very entertaining few hours in Beziers before the airport :O(
A poster in the American diner…….how rude !
playing with the water feature…………thats the next picture, not the one above !
Friends :O)
