Frances and David came to visit, I forgot to take photos, but they brought us this beautiful Hyacinth in a pail, I put it outside , because it was so hot in the house, and as soon as I put them down…….along came the bees, they loved it, so during the time it was flowering, it spent many hours feeding the bees.
This has been the best year ever, for this beautiful, evergreen Clematis, which now is covering the wall behind the compost heaps and giving off the most wonderful honey scent, I have picked countless bunches to give to all the ladies in the village, some more than once…….
Before……..
After…….
The only one which took well last year……on the right hand spur at the back.
Another new one.
David helping Dave to graft a few trees for friends.
Anik setting fire to her fence !
Another small flurry….
Lovely sunny day and the sheep arrive to graze, leaving behind their unmistakable
odour :O(
I believe this is an Egyptian grasshopper/locust , we get a few each year….but not in MARCH……
Crocus, euphorbia, and judas tree…..son to be in flower !
Nuthatch……..who has discovered a good source of sunflower seeds, under the bird feeder……all the seeds that get thrown on the floor by the blue tits !
The owner of the house, who has kindly agreed to us staying :O)
Not a lot going on this month, Dave rushing around looking after me has meant less time to do much……but here goes March 2014.
A little dusting of snow on the mountains early in the month.
