2011-05-19 The Hills Hoist !!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hills_Hoist

All the info you need is contained in the wikipedia link , we bought it because after 3 flimsy washing lines had come crashing to the ground on our gusty mountain, and NO we haven’t got 2 trees to string a line between unfortunately !

P1010233

Dave unpacking the hoist.

P1010237

Dave deciding to return the hoist to its native Australia

(no he’s digging the 750mm deep hole really!)

P1010245

how to hold it upright, use a pyramid !

P1010254

a good dept of concrete is needed to secure the base (note the old way in the background !)

P1010256

All level

P1010260

Concrete going in…….hope its upright Dave?

P1010305

All finished !

P1010312

Not quite, a few days later, and Dave has built a level area around the hoist and steps up to it…..perfect.
