2014-03-16 Ploughing by horse !

 

Bet its a long time since anyone saw this ?

Whats more it was not a competition, its a real garden being gardened organically !

2014-03-11 A White Hyacinth present

 

Frances and David came to visit, I forgot to take photos, but they brought us this beautiful Hyacinth in a pail, I put it outside , because it was so hot in the house, and as soon as I put them down…….along came the bees, they loved it, so during the time it was flowering, it spent many hours feeding the bees.

 

2014 –03-10 Clematis Armandii Snowdrift

 

This has been the best  year ever,  for this beautiful, evergreen Clematis, which now is covering the wall behind the compost heaps and giving off the most wonderful honey scent, I have picked countless bunches to give to all the ladies in the village, some more than once…….

2014-03-07 Goose Egg !

 

Well I know some of you will have seen and used these….but I didn’t realise how ENORMOUS they are….so I photographed it !

under the jug is another unbroken goose egg and an ordinary chickens egg…I made a good pastry-less quiche with these monsters :O)

2014-03-05 Snow, Sheep, & Should that be here ?

Another small flurry….

Lovely sunny day and the sheep arrive to graze, leaving behind their unmistakable

odour :O(

I believe this is an Egyptian grasshopper/locust , we get a few each year….but not in MARCH……

2014-03-02 Wild things……

 

Crocus, euphorbia, and judas tree…..son to be in flower !

Nuthatch……..who has discovered a good source of sunflower seeds, under the bird feeder……all the seeds that get thrown on the floor by the blue tits !

 

The owner of the house, who has kindly agreed to us staying :O)
