2009-09-30 Painting and Decorating

Stating my new hobby of glass painting, this is a panel for the guest bedroom loo.....its a picture of morels........a few of our guests have them!
For those who haven't visited this year, the loo is now facing a new direction, this is half way through decorating.

2009-09-20 Mushrooms & La maison Baker !

This is the mushroom i have been looking for, its Chicken of the woods, supposed to have the taste and texture of chicken, well after the first taste i think it has the texture of chicken, but i cant remember the taste.....anyway i would recommend this mushroom, as its so big this was at least 1kg and it wasn't alone....also freezes well just as it is.
OK Karl have you recognised your tree yet???

2009-09-07 On top of the world !!

We took a picnic to the lake at the top of our mountain, and finally found the place where the para-gliders take off from, talk about the top of the world........Ann and i wisely stayed in the 4x4 !

2009-09-04 Ann's visit...lavander fever !!

Yet another bergerie we happened upon in the forest, i think someone might be restoring this one.
I know i've got this in the wrong order, bear with me i'm old....
This is Ann Dave's sister, she cut all the lavander the first day she was with us and spent the week clinging to a kleneex box as she had hay fever for the rest of the time........

2009-08-29 Ants, Kiwi and Daves progress

Ants facinate us, these were finding the seeds of honesty( penny tree) the garden side of the terrace, walking across the terrace then climbing all the way up our water tank along the back wall, to a point only 2 meters from where they were picking up the seeds in the first place!! Dave is progressing with replacing the toilet in the guest bedroom, maybe some walls now Dave??

A visit from the grandchildren and their parents!
A hasty safety check was needed on the house, as Tom and Family came for the weekend, it was a hot weekend and as you can see on these pictures, it was a most enjoyable time, a good break for us, to see them all was a real treat.

We decided as it was so hot to sleep under the stars, well some of us slept..........then we gave up at midnight and went to bed...

A near by source, provided the venue for Mondays picnic, next time we will remember to take the picnic basket, poor Dave had to drive home for it, about 15mins drive, so not too far!!

Dave was there, honest, but seemed to be behind the camera at all times !
