we want to graft the black cherry tree, onto some 'wild' cherry trees so that when the cherry tree by the door has to be removed, we will still have some black cherries. this particular method is favoured by the chestnut growers around here, but there are as many different methods as there are farmers !!!

This is an Ash tree we have in the 'new' garden, i have never seen the buds before, they look like small bunches of grapes.......
