OH DEAR !!! We have had deer in the garden, they ate grape vines, and spindle trees, down to only the stems....a few tomato's, carrots and my AVOCADO plant ,see picture!!As my observant German friends said OH DEAR !!!!
This is the chick pea harvest , may be enough for humus for one slice of toast !!they have to dry in the sun and then you shell them, already dried....these were all grown from peas I sprouted on the window sill, from a packet brought from England.....

Wow. What a neat blog, I poked around a bit but want to read the whole thing from beginning to end.
One thing intrigues me though, you say it's your new life in France - I'd love to know where you came from, why you chose France, etc.
You could write a very interesting book :)

Hi Heather, Thanks for your comments, unfortunately books on moving to France are two a penny, otherwise it would have been a great idea !
We come from the south west of England, and chose France for its wonderful laid back life style. Nobody works on Fete days and Sundays , everybody takes the time to say bonjour, to anyone they pass, and crime is virtually unknown in our hamlet, we never lock up anything, and our stress levels are zero !! how many reasons do you need???
