Having made sushi last year, and enjoyed it (the veggie versions) I was keen to get together with Tom, a sushi fiend himself, and see what we could cook up together……in the end Tom did most as he wanted to try out my sushi roller ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/Leifheit-PerfectRoll-Party-Sushi-Maker/dp/B003CP0C08/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1345639026&sr=8-3 ) verses his rolling mat, we agreed they both have their own advantages and disadvantages, the roller needing you to do the first part of the rolling yourself….not what it says on the tin !!
So here are our Makizushi (rolls ) and Nigirizushi (mound of rice with fish or veg on top)
We thought that the three hours spent making them, were worth the 30mins it took to eat them…….
