The monument and the Ritz hotel are both being refurbished…..you can see NEITHER of these in the picture….what you are seeing is the workmans shuttering with pictures of the building behind painted/printed on them….we saw this in several places where work was going on……..

Many Bridges, are covered in padlocks on which people write their names…..not just bridges…..anything which a padlock can be clipped to in Paris….it is !!
