When they cleaned the road, before the tarmac, they cleared up to the wall, but the tarmac stopped a good metre from the wall......and left a step down which Dave could see would fill with water and just become muddy, and also the side of our new road.....could break....so he took the spare soil from our garden and wheel barrowed it down the road filled up the space....good job !
